24/08/23 – Birmingham

Students are celebrating their GCSE results today from BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts, surpassing the national average success rate in grades A – C.

BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts excelled with an impressive 88.5% of students achieving BTEC Distinction-to-Distinction*, 91.5% achieving BTEC Merit-to-Distinction*, and 80% achieving 5 ‘standard’ passes including English and Maths.

At BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy students attend from 14-19 so that they can specialise in a creative pathway. The pathways students can choose from are acting, dance, musical theatre, music, creative media production, or visual art design.

Alongside their creative pathway, students in Key Stage 4 are required to study GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics and Science. In addition to this, students must choose two more "option" subjects to broaden their horizons. These include humanities, sciences, languages and the arts.

Students will also have the opportunity to perform in the local, national and international community, including working closely with The Old Rep Theatre situated in the centre of Birmingham.

BOA Group, who represent the academy said, ‘these excellent results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our students and teaching staff’.

BOA’s extensive opportunities and resources have empowered students to reach their full potential and surpass expectations.

Kate Tague, Chief Executive of the BOA Group, said:

“I am immensely proud of our students' incredible achievements. These remarkable GCSE results come as a direct consequence of their dedication and commitment to their studies, combined with the relentless hard work and excellent teaching standards provided by our staff. Well done everyone!”
